Mentoring

One to one, on your own business

A workshop teaches a room. Mentoring starts with your business, your brand and the story only you can tell, then works out what to do about it.

Most people know their trade inside out. They just can't see the wood for the trees. An outside pair of eyes is often all it takes to work out which story is worth telling, and which ten aren't.

What we work on

Four things, usually in this order. Most people arrive asking about tools. We nearly always start further back than that.

1Find the story

Before anything gets made, work out what's actually there.

  • Where your business really sits
  • An honest look at your branding
  • The story that's genuinely yours
  • Who it's for

2Tell it

A story nobody hears isn't doing any work.

  • Structuring it for a digital audience
  • Which formats suit it, and which don't
  • Branding that carries it consistently
  • Podcasting, where it's the right fit

3The tools

Straight answers on what's worth your time.

  • Which tools actually help your business
  • How to use them properly, hands on
  • Where they're a waste of money
  • The concerns nobody warns you about

4Make it, simply

The method has to fit into a real week.

  • A run of ideas you can work through
  • The simplest way to film and edit, usually a phone and one app
  • Which tools are worth learning
  • A routine you can keep up when the week gets busy

In a client's words

Ken's mentoring changed how I run Piermont Resourcing. He steered me away from an expensive tool that didn't suit me towards Claude, then walked me through it step by step until I was using AI across every area of my business and had rebuilt my website.

He's patient and practical, and he knows the tools inside out. AI now saves me dozens of hours a week, and I'd recommend Ken to any business owner who finds AI daunting and wants real results.

How it starts

  1. 1Send an emailA short summary of your business, what you'd like help with, and links to your website and socials.
  2. 2A short callWe agree whether mentoring is the right answer. Sometimes a workshop suits better, and I'll say so.
  3. 3The sessionsUsually an hour each, on your business rather than general principles. You leave each one with something to do.

A good fit

  • You know your business but can't say what makes it different
  • You're making content and it isn't landing
  • You've tried AI tools and can't tell the useful from the noise
  • You want to be shown on your own material
  • You'll do the work between sessions
